Electronic Rack Equipment

PRODUCTS

OPW Engineered Systems supplies a complete line of Civacon brand loading rack monitors and electronic rack equipment used in loading and unloading operations. The monitors can detect the type of sensor in the transport, the state of liquid in the tank, an overfill situation, and/or verify the grounding condition.

RM140W Overfill Protection Rack Monitor

Optic Rack Monitor Model 8130 for Bottom & Top Loading

Well-suited for bottom-loading applications with vehicles outfitted with Optic sensors, and also suited for overfill protection while top-loading railcars or tank trucks. Generates a unique, pulsed — and intrinsically safe — electrical signal that is transmitted to the sensors via a coiled cord and optic-format plug. When sensors on the transport are dry a signal is returned to the monitor. If the signal meets pre-determined characteristics the monitor goes to a “permissive” state, which changes the status light on the front of the 8100 Series Optic Rack Monitor from red (“non-permissive”) to green (“permissive”).

If the sensor becomes wet, the relay is opened and the status light changes from green to red (non-permissive), shutting down the loading process. The Model 8130 Optic Monitor with Ground Verification includes displayed status of the optic sensor (“permissive” or “non-permissive”) and mode of operation. If the bypass mode is activated the green and red status lights will flash alternately. If the monitor does not receive a proper ground verification signal, the red status light will flash repeatedly, shutting down the loading process. Ground verification cannot be bypassed.

Ground Verification Monitor Model 8030 for Grounding Only Applications

Civacon’s Ground Verification Monitor (Model 8030) visually confirms a ground connection between the transport and the loading terminal, giving you peace of mind and more importantly, safety. The Civacon model 8030, Ground Verification Monitor uses technology that is compatible with transport ground systems used today. The monitor has a 5 amperage, 240 volt relay output for control of terminal automation systems (T.A.S.) or pump control devices when used as a stand-alone system. The monitor is equipped with green and red lamps for visual status indication. When a proper ground signal is present the green lamp will light and a permissive signal will allow the load rack to be operational. If the ground is lost, the red lamp will come on indicating a non-permissive state and shut down the loading operation.
